Peter and Lola Cottontail are siblings of the Cottontail family, a well-regarded clan who makes their home in the quietest part of the garden. Master Peter, a most inquisitive young gnome with a very fine bow, is quite a lively fellow. He is rather fond of a little adventure, though he must be careful not to lose his shoes. It is his belief that a good day is one spent exploring the world, and he is ever so curious about what lies just beyond the garden fence.

Miss Lola, with her dainty bow, is a gnome of quite a gentle disposition. She is a sensible sort, who prefers to spend her time in the sunnier parts of the garden, where the flowers grow in splendid array. Miss Lola is very wise and knows that the best things in life are not found through mischief, but in a quiet moment spent with a good friend. She is a most comforting presence, and is often found sharing a pleasant word with a butterfly.
